Did you know?

In the past week since I've got started blogging, I've had several people email me, saying that what I do on my server doesn't work on theirs. I've taken a look at a couple servers and can agree. I'm sure if you are reading my blog, you were directed from another great blog, and yet some of their tips and tricks aren't working either.

So what do you do when you get stuck at making gold?

Do you research your server? Do you even know how? Did you know that there are tons of research you can do to find what the most profitable markets are for your server?

Every heard of The Undermine Journal? This is one of my most visited sites I go too to find out what's selling, what's not, and for how much gold. A lot of people may not even know about this site. If you don't, you should check it out.

If you have, you can see all the data this site collects, all the charts and graphs, but you may not understand what all the numbers and graphs mean.

But don't worry I can help you!

Something else you may not know is that I can come on your server, and just by using this site, I can help you make tons of gold!

In the JMTC meetings I'm what they call a gold guru. I can look at every profession, on any U.S server and see how you can make gold. In my first post, I said I was going for gold cap, and was already half way there. Like I said then, I didn't just accidentally get to that point. I studied every resource available, and learned how to read all those graphs and numbers to help me know what items are profitable to get into to make gold.

And so far, I've been very successful.

If you exhausted all your resources and are still having trouble making thousands of gold, don't worry I'm here. If you're ready to break of the little cage your in, and make gold, check out my brand new Coaching Program.

You do enough work! Let me do the hard work and hire me to make tons of gold!

I'll set up a program that will tailor to your individual needs, using your own professions.

But what if I'm just starting out in wow and don't know what to do to get started?

Don't worry, I'll find out where you need to go to start questing and making easy gold!

Don't have a clue what addons are good for making gold? Easy peasy! I'll start you on some good addon's and even go through how to set them up.

Basically if you need help with any aspect of making gold in WOW, I can help!

Now it's up to you. Do you want to make thousands of gold? You tell me!

On the right side off this page, you'll find a nifty link to my coaching page where you enter the magical land of gold! Before you know it, you'll be swimming in gold, and won't know how to get out!

I'd buy everything!!!

So for the Just My Two Copper blogging carnival, the topic is:

What would with you do with 1 million gold?

Since being on this quest for gold capped, I've always knew what I was gonna do when I get gold-capped. I've always said I'm gonna buy every mount in the game & every pet I can find. Since I'm a pet and mount collector this makes since for me, because before I seriously considered collecting serious amounts of gold, I couldn't finish my 100 mount achievement, because I never had enough money to get the last 6 mounts I need.

When I starting thinking about going for gold capped, the reason for going for it in the beginning was because of that achievement right up there. I would give myself mini goals to get too, then add a reward to it.

So for example:

100k: Vendor mount
200k: Wooly mammoth

And so on. And yet, 500k later, I haven't bought one darn vanity item. I can't even remember the last time I bought something that wasn't a material to make something else to make more money. I'm so focused on getting gold cap, that I'm only buying materials to make me more money, and I don't want to waste money on something that I will probably never ever ride or use.

I think that's where I'm going wrong. I think I should buy little stuff along the way, so when I get to 1 million, I can buy the whole AH for a day or I can give away 1000 gold to every horde character on my server. Or I could sell it, and get real life money, but that's just dumb.

So what would I do if I had 1 million gold?

I think I'll let it collect dust in the guild bank until I come up with a really good idea!

What would you do if you had 1 million gold? Or if you have 1 million gold already, are you continuing to collect more or are you over it? Let me know in a comment or email!

Got Belt Buckles?

In dictionary terms, a belt buckle is a buckle, a clasp for fastening two ends, as of straps or a belt, in which a device attached to one of the ends is fitted or coupled to the other.

But in WOW terms they are little bundles of gold! Ebonsteel Belt buckles are relatively cheap to make, using only 4 Pyrium Bars, 4 Elementium Bars, and 4 Volatile Earth. With the price of ore dropping on my server I usually craft these for around 100g, and can usually sell them for anything between 300-400g. That's pretty good profit, that can easily be overlooked by a Blacksmith.

To be able to craft these, a Blacksmith must have 525 blacksmithing.

What's the best part about these bundles of joy, you ask?? Every single raider or PVPer needs a belt buckle. And even knowing that fact I never see more than 10-20 on the AH. Another awesome fact about belt buckles is that there isn't an exact optimal time to post these. You can literally post these at anytime of the day, and they still sell.

As you can see in this screenie, I've sold 265 belt buckles. This is in a 2 month period. I've made almost 66k in 2 months from one tiny, easily overlooked item in game. In this 2 month period I wasn't even posting consistently. I was just posting them when I remembered, which I have a horrible memory, so I definitely wasn't posting these everyday. I think that's a pretty good gold boost just from one item.

And if you remember I usually craft these for 100g, and post them between 300-400g. So let's do some quick napkin math to figure out the profit I made. Just to low-ball it.

Just to low-ball it, lets say I sell 265 belt buckles for 250g. Each buckle costs 100g to make, subtract that from the price I'm selling at (250g) and I'm making 150g profit on each belt buckle. Now multiply 150g profit to the 265 belt buckles I sold, and I've made 39,750g profit, and that's on the low side of what these go for.

Just a few days ago, I had some to post, so I ran to the the AH to post some, and there were none on there. So I jumped for joy, and posted 5 for 400g, and in no time they sold.

So I recommend everyone goes and makes some Ebonsteel belt buckles and starts posting them, and while you guys do that, I'm gonna do the same!

Accountant Classic

First I just want to say I sent in my Warcraft Econ Hall of Fame email for 500k, so be on the look out for that post, and I'll be sure to put a heads-up on here, so everyone can read it! Yay super excited! O.K. now back to regular scheduled programming!

When I saw the topic for Cold's blogging carnival for the month of May, I immediately knew what add-on I was choosing, and it’s Accountant Classic. Why? Cuz it rocks! Do you sell Darkmoon Cards in trade to avoid the AH fees? Well, I do. And that is one of the fantastic features that this addon offers.
Unlike MySales (which I use to track my gold within the AH), Accountant Classic shows me my sales and purchases in person to person trades.  But one awesome feature of Accountant Classic is not only does it track your incoming gold but it also tracks your outgoing gold as well. Wanna see how it works? Here Goes……

This add-on tracks everything from buying from Merchants, commonly known as Vendors, to paying for repair costs, to loot rewards. There is a section called Unknown, which I assume is mailing from alt to alt, but if anyone knows for sure, please feel free to leave a comment or email me, and correct me.

As you can see in the picture, it shows all the ways to gain or lose gold. A fantastic feature, in particular for the Darkmoon Fair, is where it tracks face to face trades, because at least for me, it's nice to know how much money I have made in trades for trinkets, or buying anything face to face instead of using the AH.

There are a few tabs to click on, let's see what each one does. Shall we?

Session: When you click on session, it will still be the same window as you see here, but it will show all the gold gained/lost from the point of logging in to logging out.

Day: This will show how much gold gained and lost everyday, and "resets" your data daily at midnight.

Week: This tab will again look the same as above, but tracks your gold weekly. And the cool thing with this is you can go into the Options tab, just to the right of the week tab, and change what day of the week you want your week to start. I personally start my weeks on Sunday, since in real life, that's the "technical" first day of the week. But the option is yours!

Total: The total tab will show you how much gold you have gained and lost from the time you installed the add-on. I use this tab to see overall how much gold I'm making and losing. :(

Reset: This button will reset all of your data that it has ever accumulated. I have never clicked this button, because I feel this is good data to know on my road to gold capped. There is not a window to make sure it's really what you want to do, so reset with caution!

Options: As I said above in the week section, in the Options tab, you can set what day of the week you want your data to start, and you can set what size you want the window to be at. Personally, I set mine at about 25%, because it's big enough for my eyes, but I can still run and jump in game and see where I'm landing! :)

You can reset the data anytime, although it is important to note that if you reset it, all of the data will be lost. You can choose what day to start the week on in the options tab. At the top of the add-on box you can see your total incoming gold and outgoing, then the add-on automatically subtracts those totals to get your net loss, which can show if the money you're spending is more/less than the money you're making. And then in the window it breaks down where your money is coming from and where it's going too. As you can see from my data, I spent as much money as I was getting in and actually lost a little bit of gold. Which is another reason why I like this add-on, because at least I know for sure that I need to get rid of some stock, before I buy anything else.

There are a few tabs at the bottom where you can either track your sessions, days, or totals for the week, and of all time. You can also track how much gold is on all your toons.

When you first download the add-on, you may have to log in and out of all your toons to start collecting accurate data, but once you do that, the add-on works for itself, and all you have to do is click the mini-map button or type /acc in your chat window, and you will be able to obsess over your spending habits or /cheer at all of your gold you've accumulated for the week!

Flasks, Flasks, and more Flasks!

Today I want to talk to you about flasks. I recently got into the flask market, and so far it’s paying off. It seems with the news of the vendor price of green gems dropping to 75 silver, it seems bots have left the ore market, and on my server, I’m getting super cheap herbs. And if you get a supplier to farm you herbs for a discount, it’s even better.

There are 5 flasks to make:

Flask of the Winds

Now when you get cheap herbs or farm your own, the 8 Volatile Life per flask is usually what’s going to cost you the most. But with a possible influx of herbs on the AH, the Volatile Life should be relatively low as well.

One thing you have to remember about flasks is size really does matter! Stack size is one of the most important things to know when posting. You have to remember guild cauldrons take 3 of each flask, so posting in groups of 3 is a good idea. Also most guilds, who don’t supply their raiders with flasks, for the most part raid for 3-4 hours, so again posting in those size stacks really does matter.

Another important part of selling flasks is the time you are posting. Knowing when your server raids, is also important to know, because if you post all your flasks at 1PM, but guilds raid at 8pm, chances are your either not going to sell any, or you’re going to get undercut. If you're not in a raiding guild and don't know what time your server raids, feel free to ask around in trade, or ask people in the guilds on your server.

I usually post an hour before I know my server starts raiding, usually between 7 or 8pm. I sell the most flasks in stacks of 1,3 and 4, for the people collecting flasks for guild cauldrons, and for the people who are join a pug, and don't know how long the raid will last.

I recommend checking Undermine Journal to see if flasks are profitable for you! What are you waiting for? Go check NOW!!! Time is money!

Hope everyone enjoyed this post and it was informative. If you have any questions feel free to email me at Prncesspwn@gmail.com.

Edit: As I'm sure you can tell, site is a bit under construction. I've currently got Sinku from Exploiting My Server hired to help fix everything, although he feels like I can't be satisfied with picking a template, so I will get everything back to normal ASAP.

Going for the gold!

So I started this blog because a few of my friends, Sinku, Xander, and Alto, had been pushing me to start blogging about my dream for gold cap. At almost 500k, it's starting to become a reality. But that's not the reason for this post, the reason I am starting my blogging adventure with this post, is because I feel it's necessary to thank the people who got me starting in gold making, the people who have made this experience amazing, and the people who are getting me started in blogging.

Alto, from Alto's Goldish Advice, is a great friend of mine, who always has amazing ideas, and has given me the tools and advice I needed to get to 500k, and is always there when I need help with something. If for some reason you haven't checked his blog out, I recommend doing so as soon as you get done here!

Next is Sinku, from Exploiting My Server. He is also a great friend of mine, who I talk to on a regular basis, and has given me tons of help and advice on starting this blog. His site is simply amazing as well. He thinks outside of the box, and always has entertaining posts. His site is constantly updated, and has a real nice "feel" to it.

Next is Xander, who runs Xander's Gold Mine. His site is constantly updated with new and fresh ideas, and overall great content. He's another great friend I talk to regularly, and I always enjoy his input, so check out his site for me!

Another friend is Mageshadow from Just My Two Copper. I can guarantee that the Friday night gold meetings are what got me to start seriously pursuing the gold cap and where I met all of these fantastic friends I have mentioned. If you have never been to these meetings, I recommend stopping by. Definitely a fun time with great people and new ideas! Not only does Mageshadow post everyday, he has great content to go with a very organized site.

So I have to say thanks to all of these guys who have given me the inspiration to start blogging, and who have helped me get to 500k!

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Prncesspwn's AH.

Some might know me from the JMTC Friday night meetings and from the new gold-making podcast Addicted 2 Azeroth. I've been thinking of starting a blog for a while now, and after hearing from friends everyday for months telling me I should start a blog, I am going to start this venture into blogging!

I guess an intro is in order. My name is Prncesspwn, and I play a holy pally. I used to be a hardcore raider, but have taken a step back, and have been focusing on making gold in World of Warcraft. This blog is gonna be my place to give updates on my road to gold cap, as well as any other information I want the gold making community to know on what is going on in WOW.

I hope to build a relationship with my readers, and hope to provide content that everyone can learn from. I am by no means a writer, and I absolutely despise my college professors when they assign a paper, so maybe this will help with writing as well as making a mark in this gold making community.

If anyone has any comments feel free to leave one, or you can email me at Prncesspwn@gmail.com.
